Shower Curtain — Mid-Century Christmas

Hang this Christmas shower curtain in December and the bathroom joins the rest of the decorated house.

It is covered in tree ornaments: round baubles, teardrops and spinning-top shapes with stripes, zigzags, dots and diamonds in red, green, pale blue and mustard. Three kinds of little trees stand among them, a plain triangle hung with dots, a spiral ribbon and a tiered fir, each topped with a gold star. Gold and red starbursts and black snowflakes fill the cream ground, and every shape carries a bold black outline.

The red-and-green palette is traditional, the drawing is 1950s, and the cream ground keeps the whole thing light in a small guest bath.
